Total Building Solutions for a Green Building
National Technical Library (NTK) in Prague, opened in September 2009
The objective was to make building operations as energy-efficient and economical as possible.
The Total Building Solutions include the Desigo building automation system and the Sinteso fire safety system. Desigo consists of over 3,600 data points as well as a central management station from where all regulation and control tasks are executed. Within the Total Building Solutions, Desigo controls all HVAC technologies, monitors 180 lighting circuits and monitors the status of the low-voltage switchboards. Among other features, the Sinteso system and its 850 optical smoke detectors and six linear smoke detectors from the Sinesto C line protects the building against fire.
Total Building Solutions allows the Prague library to meet the Green Building criteria which include low operating costs and frequent air ventilation.
