LEED Gold thanks to modern air-conditioning equipment and building automation
Süddeutscher Verlag, new corporate headquarters in Munich
Air-conditioning for an individualized room climate with maximum energy efficiency.
Each office room is equipped with the equivalent of an individually adjustable air-conditioning unit. The Desigo building automation controls lighting, room temperature, window ventilation, mechanical ventilation and protection from the sun in a user-friendly and energy-efficient manner. In addition to air-conditioning, management and optimization in particular of the building’s internal geothermal plant by means of building automation will also play an important role.
After the run-in phase, the corporate headquarters was the first office building in Germany to be awarded the Gold-level LEED certificate by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
