Siemens Finalizes Acquisition of Site Controls

The Building Technologies Division of Siemens Industry, Inc. announced today it has completed the acquisition of Site Controls, LLC, the Austin, Texas-based provider of enterprise-wide energy management solutions for multi-site commercial businesses. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

With Site Controls’ energy management platform now part of Siemens’ product portfolio, Siemens has new tools for customers looking to manage their facilities’ energy costs. Site Controls’ product line broadens Siemens’ portfolio of building automation and HVAC control solutions and is intended to drive Building Technologies’ leadership in the retail and commercial markets, including big box retailers, fitness clubs, convenience stores and restaurants. Site Controls’ energy management platform, Site-Command™, integrates hardware and software to provide customers with real-time centralized visibility and control of multiple locations from a central point.  Site Controls’ energy management platform SureGrid™, offers a turn-key energy aggregation and demand response solution which can reduce peak power demand when the electrical grid is under stress.
