Cunningham to Manage Siemens Value-Added Partner Business

New position will strengthen relationship with Siemens Solution Partners and their customers

Buffalo Grove, Thursday, June 12, 2008

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. announces the appointment of Kevin Cunningham to Director of Sales and Operations for Siemens Solutions Partner Sales, a newly created position to manage the Value-Added Partner (VAP) business of the HVAC Products Business Unit. Cunningham will have responsibility for developing the company’s dealer network of Siemens Solution Partners and helping them increase their TALON open protocol building control systems business in major local/regional markets nationwide.

With 27 years of experience working with Siemens and its distributors, Cunningham has the know-how and technical expertise to help Solution Partners successfully market the company’s products.  As the building automation market continues to expand and HVAC technologies evolve, the VAP network’s value to the company and the markets these distributors serve will continue to grow as well. Cunningham’s appointment to this strategic position represents the company’s ongoing commitment to support this important channel and invest in its long-term growth.

Rick LeBlanc, senior vice president and head of the HVP Business Unit, explains, “As the market has changed, the integration capabilities, wireless technologies and overall greater productivity requirements through powerful design and commissioning tools are becoming vital components of our HVAC and building automation offerings at Siemens. Kevin will facilitate the delivery of this message and content to our TALON VAP business channel.”

Cunningham, whose experience includes managing TALON product introductions, is well acquainted with distributors throughout the network and the special needs of their customers. Cunningham plans to combine his practical experience, product and solutions acumen and leadership and apply it to developing this channel through more streamlined product introductions, clear-cut purchasing protocols and better dealer/customer engagements. Cunningham previously led Siemens Building Technologies’ Integrated Solutions and Product Management team and recently earned his LEED accreditation by the U.S. Green Building Council.
