Consumer-friendly charger could spur EV acceptance

Siemens says it will begin selling a home charger for electrified vehicles by year's end that's easy to hook up and is relatively cheap, less than $1,000 before installation.
In fact, if you happen to have a 240-volt electric-dryer-style outlet in your garage, on a separate circuit not used for anything else, you can just plug in the VersiCharge, no separate wiring needed.
