Siemens Industry, Inc. announced today it has selected the winners of the 2011 Smartest Building in America Challenge. This year two hospitals will share $40,000 in Siemens products and services. Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Wash. and, Jackson South Community Hospital, Miami, elevated themselves above the other entries to claim Grand and Runner-Up prizes, respectively.
Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Washington
The mission of St. Peter Hospital is to offer all forms of healthcare to the area’s poor, at little or no cost. In order to accomplish this goal, we must be excellent stewards of our fiscal resources. We are challenged to provide a comfortable environment for our buildings occupants, while ensuring that not one energy dollar is wasted.
Jackson South Community Hospital, Miami
The Jackson South Community Hospital is an exisitng facility which has just completed a 160,000 square foot addition which included the latest in State of the Art equipment and Technology, using the Siemens TALON System and products are tied to a veriety of systems and eguipment. These systems are all communiating seamlessly via the Siemens TALON Fiberoptic intrunet using, LON, BACNET, MODBUS and Johnson N2 for part of our existing facilty.
