Radisson Sonya Hotel, St. Petersburg, Russia
Integrated building services for a comprehensive hotel solution
The design of the Radisson Sonya Hotel in St. Petersburg is inspired by Dostoyevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment.” The four-star hotel has 173 rooms as well as several restaurants and meeting spaces.
Balance between guest comfort, safety, energy efficiency, and cost management. Hotel solution with communication-enabled building services where the individual systems work together seamlessly and avoid damage to the unique design.
In close cooperation with Siemens, the Petersburg partner company ZAO ProfingenerStroy installed the building services as a comprehensive hotel solution with integrated building management, fire safety and security systems. For each hotel room, there is a climate control for every hotel room. A video surveillance and access control system now adds to the modern fire protection and extinguishing system. The safety system was designed in accordance with local regulations and the requirements of the hotel’s risk management team.
The building services enables the Radisson Sonya Hotel to comply with wishes of the guests, ensuring optimal comfort in terms of climate, with improved energy efficiency of the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems (HVAC), which also results in considerable cost savings. Another positive effect for the hotel’s image is the international environmental certificate “The Green Key.” The hotel solution ensures the safety and security of the guests, employees, and material assets through reliable and early fire detection. Inconspicuous control and handling of a wide range of threat situations. No disruptions caused by false alarms.
