Chilematt Center, Unterägeri, Switzerland
The Chilematt Center in Unterägeri in central Switzerland offers exclusive shopping opportunities, a bank and 24 apartments. The attached Aegerihalle features three event halls for up to 900 people.
In order to meet the various needs of all building users, a modern, energy-efficient and easy-to-use HVAC system was required.
Wood-chip heating, ventilation and cooling are controlled via the modular Synco 700 HVAC control system. Thanks to preprogrammed standard applications, the Synco controllers are easy to configure, allowing them to be ideally adapted to the needs of the building occupants. Room temperature and air quality sensors in the individual rooms ensure the supply of heating, cooling or fresh air as needed.
The controller’s preprogrammed energy-saving features help optimize energy consumption during system operation. Variable speed drives ensure that fan and pump speeds are automatically adjusted according to the required supply of heating, cooling or fresh air while heat exchangers recover heat from exhaust air. KNX communication between the Synco 700 controllers enables automatic and continuous coordination of all processes.
“The Chilematt Center is an excellent example showing how energy can be used efficiently and in a sustainable manner,” says general project leader Kurt Heutschi of Alfred Müller AG. “Decisive is the demand-dependent control of the building systems, meeting the requirements of the different types of building users. And this is fully ensured by the Synco 700 HVAC control system supplied by Siemens.”
