Sistore MX hybrid recorder from Siemens

The numbers of hybrid applications using existing analogue cameras, with the capability to expand the system adding IP cameras, with recording possible for both analogue and IP simultaneously is growing all the time. For this reason continual software development is of the highest importance for Siemens, to continue to provide customers features that fit ever-changing security situations. Part of this development process now sees the Sistore MX hybrid recording system being enhanced with great new features and functionalities to upgrade.

The latest Version 2.70 offers features for both the firmware of the hybrid recorder as well as the software for remote access: RemoteView and WebView. To enable customers to get the best usage from their networks, dual encoding is now supported with two compression formats: MJPEG, which is suited for recording individual images, and MPEG4 for fast and efficient network transmission. New features such as audio transmission for RemoteView and optimised alarm handling with a list of alarms and alarm images facilitate more flexible and secure monitoring. Furthermore, virtual alarm contacts for Siemens IP cameras are available for remote monitoring.

With the continual market development of megapixel cameras, Sistore MX now records and displays megapixel IP cameras in both live and playback mode. Also, the list of supported IP cameras has once again grown with this new software version, all Siemens models also being compatible.

The system complies with the German banking norms "UVV Kassen", however new features make it specifically interesting for use in banks. It includes enhancements of the data interface which is used for the integration of ATMs among other things to allow better access to relevant data. Furthermore, the integration of EC card readers, for example, for giving access to a bank foyer is also possible along with further monitoring functions.

To enable customers to best view their sites, support for two monitors showing dual video image displays with site map function is now fully supported. This function can be performed both locally or remotely via the included RemoteView (for use on a PC) or WebView (via Internet Explorer or Firefox) software - Windows Vista is also supported.

These are just some of the new features to the already proven Sistore MX hybrid recording system that have been installed all over the world in numerous installations ranging from local banks to international corporate offices.
