Heat and Heat/Cooling meters

The wide range of heating and heating/cooling meters offers ultrasonic- as well as impeller type wheel meters. The ultrasonic meters measure without any mechanical parts and conform to MID class 2. The impeller type wheel meters WFM/WFN are electronic, fully dry-running meters. They conform to MID class 3.

As a result of their compact design, all meters are ideal for central heating facilities in which the heat energy is distributed  to several individual consumers.

WFM

The electronic, mains-independent impeller type heat meter WFM5.. is of compact design and used as a metering device for the physically correct acquisition of energy consumption.

It is available as a wall-mounting version in different sizes. The meter consists of a volume metering section, 2 ready connected temperature sensors and a ready fitted processor which, based on flow rate and temperature differential, calculates the energy consumption. The consumption values acquired by the meter can be read out on site or from remote. The meters are used primarily in plants with central production of heat, where the energy is delivered via zones to several individual consumers.

Typical use

  • Nominal flow rate: -0.6m3/h; 1.5m3/h; 2.5m3/h

  • Power supply: 10-years battery

  • Approved in accordance with EN1434, MID class 3

  • Data communication : None, via m-bus, AMR or walk-by
