Optimum interaction between ventilation system and fire control panel

Ventilation systems must switch off independently when fire alarm or extinguishing systems are activated and when thermal trigger devices of the fire protection dampers are activated, or switch from normal operation to emergency operation. This operating mode ensures, for example, that the rooms are systematically regulated for overpressure so that escape routes remain free of smoke.

Motorized fire protection dampers prevent the spread of smoke and fire via the duct system – OpenAir™ actuators close the dampers very quickly and reliably in the event of a fire. Therefore, they provide a high degree of protection for people and assets.
