Desigo for Improved Energy Efficiency
Version V4 of building automation system includes many innovations
Version V4 of the Desigo building automation system offers many innovations for even greater energy efficiency. Applications range from innovative control strategies for ventilation and air-conditioning systems to integrated energy reports.
The new regulation and control strategy for ventilation and air-conditioning systems, AirOptiControl, optimizes air volume flow. Thus, ventilation and air-conditioning systems can be run with the highest possible degree of energy efficiency. The Desigo Economizer tx2 uses only the most cost-effective energy consumption to condition incoming air, thereby controlling air-conditioning systems for optimized energy regulation.
The building automation system uses thermoactive building component systems (TABS) to control temperature in the concrete cores of buildings. The Desigo TABS control application with separate heating and cooling curves satisfies the highest technical expectations with complete comfort for room occupants. For predictive heating control, the algorithm implemented in the Desigo PX automation station calculates the trend of the flow temperature set point periodically over an optimization horizon of three days so that the desired room temperature can be achieved for this period at an optimum level of energy efficiency. The Desigo building automation system now uses new integrated energy reports in response to the increasing need for statistical analysis of energy-related data.
